WELSH GOVERNMENT CHILDCARE OFFER

The Childcare Offer has now been running in RCT since September 2017.　 Applications on behalf of Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend CBC’s are now being processed.　 For those of you who are not aware, the Childcare Offer is a Welsh Government initiative that offers working families of 3 and 4 year olds, 30 hours per week of combined FPN education and funded childcare.

 

Eligibility for the offer is:

  • Children must live in RCT
  • It is from the term following a child’s 3 rdbirthday until the September following their 4th (they cease to be eligible when they start Reception year)
  • Both parents, or cohabiting couple (or lone parent) must earn the equivalent of 16 hours per week at national minimum wage or National Living Wage, or above.　 There is an upper income limit of £100,000 income per person per year

 

To apply for the offer, parents/carers should go to www.rctcbc.gov.uk/childcareoffer and click on the parent link.　 Here they will find an eligibility checker which they must answer successfully in order to access the online application form.
